Our goal, through a clean, comfortable room, top-notch breakfast, and warm, family atmosphere in a 121 year old heritage mansion, is to make your Revelstoke stay memorable, for all the very best of reasons...
Charles Holten came to Revelstoke around 1885, and was one of the first to investigate mining prospects in the Lardeau region south of Revelstoke (around Trout Lake, Ferguson, and that area.)
He and his partner Thomas Downs located the Silver Cup mine, one of the most successful in the region. They sold it for a nice bundle and both settled in Revelstoke.
We are perfectly situated in the heart of Revelstoke’s historic downtown district. We are within a short stroll to local restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, entertainment, shopping and museums, as well as a number of scenic walks around the Revelstoke townsite, including the river foreshore. We are a short drive to the Golf Club & Revelstoke Mountain Resort, home in summer to the Pipe Mountain Coaster.
The closest airport to Revelstoke is Kelowna International, which is approximately a 2 hour drive. Alternatively, Calgary’s International airport is approximately a 4 hour drive.
Revelstoke is a wonderful stop when travelling between the Okanagan and British Columbia’s West Coast to Alberta’s Rocky Mountains. There are many great locally owned shops and restaurants as well as friendly hospitality. It’s a majestic mountain town surrounded by rugged peaks and lush valleys.
The area, the views, the Rockies, the river, the nice atmosphere of the town... nothing competes (despite its beauty)with the warmth of this magnificent home, due to the nice smell in the morning and the lovely hosts, Kathleen, Dean and Stella. Absolutely delightful (and good talks!) and perfect for our honeymoon! Couldn't hope for a better stay. Thanks A LOT!
Thank you so much for the warm hospitality, conversations and great tips for things to do and see in the area! Also the breakfasts were AMAZING and we appreciated all the special touches for our girls! Thanks again!
Delightful home. Reminds me of my grandmother's home. Very Victorian and warm. The food was amazing and and it was awesome to wake up on a cold dreary rainy day to a warm fireplace and a friendly dining room. Great place to meet old friends and to make new ones!
